ZipLoop® Technology is uniquely designed with a single strand of braided polyethylene, woven through itself twice in opposite directions. This construct allows Zimmer Biomet to produce innovative products that can vary in length, compression and tension addressing the individual needs of each patient.

System Features

The ZipTight Fixation System features a smaller version of Biomet Sports Medicine’s easy-to-flip ToggleLoc Fixation device for medial side fixation and a round button for lateral fixation connected by MaxBraid suture. 

Knotless

The fully-adjustable, knotless loop allows variable compression and tension which is designed to eliminate irritation caused by prominent knots in soft tissue.  Four strands of #1 MaxBraid suture between two metallic buttons (Titanium or Stainless Steel).

Low-Profile

The low-profile ZipLoop Technology is designed to help to minimize soft tissue irritation.

ZipLoop Technology

Single strand of suture/rope that is passed through itself in opposite directions.  Through friction and opposing forces, the technology is designed to create a bond that gets stronger the more force is applied to it.  The tension used to cinch it is variable.

  •  Available with either titanium or stainless steel buttons to correspond with surgeon preference. 

Anatomic

  •  The low-profile, knotless button in minimal soft tissue is designed to allow for micromotion during healing, which more closely mimics the patient’s true joint mechanics. 

Easy-to-use

  •  MaxBraid sutures are between two distinct metal buttons. Designed to be easy-to-use, the 11mm ToggleLoc Fixation device on the medial side and 6.35mm flat can be flipped around the button on lateral size.
