The Biomet Sports Medicine Meniscal Screw is unique in that it’s made of LactoSorb® Resorbable Copolymer which provides for excellent strength up to eight weeks thus allowing for meniscal healing and complete resorption of the screw after nine months.^1-3 The constant thread pitch of the screw allows excellent compression of the meniscal tissue and tactile feedback. The screw is headless to avoid chondral abrasion.
