Arthroscopic Surgery / The Knee
ACL Tear
The anterior cruciate ligament, or ACL, is one of the four major knee ligaments. The ACL is critical to knee stability, and people who injure their ACL often hear a loud pop or complain of symptoms of their knee giving-out from under them. Many patients who sustain an ACL tear may opt to have surgical reconstruction of the ligament, which is most commonly performed arthroscopically.
