Acetabulum/Pelvis for Oncology

Patient needs to be in AP position with feet inverted. No rotation. Entire pelvis in DFOV.



FOR PRIMARY OR REVISION HIP REPLACEMENT OR ACETABULUM REVISION
The femurs must be positioned so they are parallel to the horizontal plane of the table. To accomplish this it may be necessary to build up the knees and ankles with sponges. Patient needs to be in AP position with feet inverted. Also do 2 femoral condyle slices (to show anteversion). Magnify or zoom image to the affected only. DFOV of 25 to 28 depending on patient size. Must not be changed during the scan. Please include at least half of the sacrum in FOV.




* do at least 2 femoral condyle slices without changing patient position or parameters to show anteversion.
