Established in 1999 as the Biomet Learning Center and now known as the Orthopaedic Skills Academy, the surgeon education program provides world-class facilities, faculty and programs designed to meet the educational needs of medical professionals.
The main 30,000-square-foot facility, located in Warsaw, IN, features state-of-the-art surgical education stations to provide surgeons with unique hands-on opportunities in:
- Primary and revision hip, knee, shoulder and elbow arthroplasty
- Minimally invasive total hip and knee arthroplasty
- Partial knee arthroplasty
- Minimally invasive shoulder hemiarthroplasty
- Minimally invasive carpal tunnel syndrome
- Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine
- Image-guided surgery
- Surgical Simulation
- Use of bone graft substitutes and platelet concentrate
- Use of alternative bearings for total joint arthroplasty
