Financial Analyst

Requirements:
Biomet, a leading manufacturer of orthopedic devices, has two openings in its Parsippany, NJ offices for a Financial Analyst. This position is primarily responsible for developing, interpreting, and implementing complex financial and accounting concepts/techniques for financial planning and analysis. Primary responsibilities include the following. Additional duties may be assigned.

Coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, acquisition activity, new business planning, trended future requirements, government requirements, and operating forecasts.
Acts as a Business Partner to the Spine Marketing, Trauma Marketing and Research and Development Teams.
Assists Director, Financial Planning and Analysis in the development of the budget, planning, and other corporate financial requirements.
Will develop Five Year Strategic Plan and Annual Sales Budget and Operating Budget.
Will develop Competitive Benchmarking, New Product Financials and Quantify financial requirements and impact of product launches.
Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance. Identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly.
Establishes databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts.
Works with Distribution on set utilization.
Evaluates complex profit plans, operating records, and financial statements. Conducts special studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action.
Interprets and applies corporate financial policies, government legislation, and accounting theory.
Presents financial data at Operational Trauma and Spine staff meetings.

Education/Experience:

Must have a Bachelor's degree.
At least four to six years experience within a manufacturing environment.

Additional Requirements:

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have good PC skills and be proficient using the following: MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Word and Internet software.
Certified Management Accountant (CMA) desirable.
