Summary: Autologous fibrin glue prepared from cryopreciptate was used in seven patients to stop oozing from sutured vessels after partial nephrectomy. It was also used to fill defects prior to closure. Oozing from blood vessels was stopped immediately upon application of fibrin glue and there were no complications with its use.

Quotation: “Fibrin glue successfully achieved hemostasis in all patients after partial nephrectomy. There was no instance of delayed hematoma or abscess formation.”
